1941 Ford Super Deluxe

This 1941 Woody is genuinely a piece of history with its full body off restoration that has won AACA National junior and senior first prizes and a Dearborn Award from the Early Ford V8 Club. . A rare find as it was purchased in 1941 and remained in the same family until 2001 when the current owner purchased it. Ford built 15,601 station wagons in 1941 and this one truly is a brilliant example of that. It was used as a buisness/personal vehicle. it was also repainted in the 60s to a different color. In 1978 the sons of the original owner took it (with a little convincing from the original owner) to Josey's Shop where it underwent a complete body off restoration that would last almost 5 years! A set of NOS cast grills was found in an old ford dealership loft in either nebraska or kansas. Drip rails were fabricated. The red gum plywood for the flat panels were reproduced using the correct shaving method for the outer ply. All of the original birds eye framing was saved, with some filling of holes where an accessory mirror had been installed. Some of the dark areas could not be bleached out but it was felt that the authenticity was more important than perfection (they weren't wrong). From the engine rebuild (flathead V8) , to the interior restoration, this entire car was restored to Ford standards.. It has the rare rear only hubcap, all of the chrome trim is excellent, fully redone dash (stock) with factory trim, all correct and functioning gauges,fully restored steering wheel in cream with chrome horn ring, correct black vinyl top.
